St. Paul’s Vergers Congratulating Ken Singleton

On the First Sunday of Advent, November 27, 2017, the Clergy, Vergers, past and present Acolytes, and the entire Congregation of St. Paul’s – Atlanta honored Ken Singleton for 42+ years of service as Acolyte Coordinator and Verger.  A conservative estimate places Ken’s acolyte count at a little over a thousand youth over the course of these years.  Many of those young acolytes matured and became Lay Readers, Eucharist Ministers, Verger and three Priests.

Ken has served in many, many ministries at St. Paul’s, including three terms on the Vestry and as the Junior Warden.  Ken joined the MEG Chapter well over a decade ago and served several terms as the Training Officer for the Chapter.  At the Diocesan level, Ken has served several years on the Commission for Liturgy and has been in a leadership role for several Diocesan Acolyte Festivals, including the outstanding Festival earlier this year. Several members of the MEG Chapter Board were present to witness this great celebration.
